IAM Cares Society is a charitable, non-profit organization. We offer a full range of free employment assistance and support services to people with all types of disabilities and/or chronic conditions who live in the Lower Mainland and Greater Vancouver regions of British Columbia.

With enduring dedication and a keen awareness of the challenges still ahead, IAM Cares Society is committed to the full inclusion of persons with disabilities and/or chronic conditions in the work place and in society as a whole.

STAFF
Many of our IAM Cares Society staff are Registered Rehabilitation Professionals(RRP) and provide a variety of key services to meet each client’s specific needs. We are committed to a "best practices" approach, which encompasses the highest levels of professionalism, ethical conduct and accountability.

OUR AGENCY
IAM Cares Society opened its first British Columbia location in Burnaby in 1989. Since then we have expanded to include locations in Vancouver, North Vancouver, Coquitlam and Surrey. We offer free employment related services to persons with chronic conditions and/or disabilities.

SPONSORSHIP
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers sponsor IAM Cares Society in-kind. This makes IAM Cares Society one of the few union-sponsored employment placement programs in Canada.

FUNDERS
The EDGE Program is funded in whole or part through the Canada-British Columbia Labour Market Development Agreement. Donations help to support the organizations quest to improve and enhance the inclusion of persons with disabilities and/or chronic conditions in the workplace.
